so last night i saw 2001: a space odyssey and i think stanley kubrick is the best director of all time for making this damn masterpiece, i'm so glad i saw this, because this was a life changing experience, i cannot recommend this movie enoug.

I'm also a fan of Kubrick, I think many of his movies are incredibly thought provoking and captivating (Spartacus, Eyes Wide Shut). From the Olson Twins movies, to Dune, to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, I can appreciate movies. In order to properly appreciate it, you have to adjust your expectations accordingly 2001: A Space Odyssey was Trash. Clarke's work, was more intellectual and less escapist.
